In A Place in the World: Finding the Meaning of Home, Mayes details her decision to sell her beloved Hillsborough farm called Chatwood along with sharing stories from her Italian villa, Bramasole. It wasn't until she was stuck in one place during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic that she finally began to fully examine the meaning of home.
